Our Story

It was in the year 1922, a great visionary late LalaArjan Das Kohli had sown the seeds of an illustrious carrier. In the course of 94 years, the solid foundation laid by him, was ably carried forward by his son late ShriTilak Raj Kohli and two grandsons RakeshKohli and VivekKohli. Now, the fourth generation is carrying the torch forward. At Stag, we serve not for years, but for generations.

Stag has come a long way from the humble beginnings of a small family business to a renowned multi-sport brand catering to 202 countries the world over.

We are now an ISO-9001:2008 company with state of the art manufacturing capability. Our 108,000 sq. ft. facility is now fully functional, where over 300 committed workers work throughout the year to meet quality standards and timely schedules.

Our product range today includesequipment related to sports such as table tennis, netball, basketball, athletics, tchoukball, judo, gymnastics, wrestling and many more.

Quality and customer satisfaction continue to remain our prime pursuit. Customer satisfaction has been our motto over the years and at Stag, we believe that “We do not sell products, we sell satisfaction”.

Our policy at Stag is to foster growth of sports and get involved into the development of the sport by promoting it at the grassroots level. We at Stag believe that any partnership should essentially be symbiotic and ensure mutual growth. Over the years, we have formed long-lasting partnerships with people who share our passion for sports. Stag is proud partner of the ITTF (International Table Tennis Federation) and Supplier Pool Member of ETTU (European Table Tennis Union).

Stag today sponsors 36 national table tennis teams.

We are the official equipment sponsor for Youth Olympic Games 2018 and the title and equipment sponsor for the European under 21 Championships for the years 2017-2020.

For our next chapter, we aim to build the same relationship by making you a part of the stag family and spreading our love through sport.

International Development Projects

In our endeavour to develop the sport, stag in collaboration with ITTF, has undertaken development projects in 116 countries so far. The programme called “Sport for All – Equipment for All”, aims to provide equal opportunities for underprivileged people around the world to have access to sports’ equipment and to promote health for all through sport, addressing the remotest parts of the world. Stag provides the equipment to kickstart the development and ITTF provides the coaches who lend their expertise and enable learning.

An avowed aim of Stag is to provide opportunities to those for whom sport is currently denied. An international initiative at the service of peace, intervenes in areas made vulnerable by extreme poverty, recent conflict or lack of social cohesion.

In the recent past, stag in collaboration with its partners has conducted rehabilitation projects in places like Burundi, Haiti, Nepal and Sri Lanka, to help foster social stability, reconciliation and dialogue between communities.

India

The Stag dream is to hone talent at the grassroots and produce an olympic champion from India in table tennis. To realise this dream, along with the TableTennis Federation of India, we have launched three very ambitious projects namely

  • Stag-TTFI One million players by 2020
  • Stag Talent Search
  • Stag Olympic Dream
    • Under the first scheme, we would be organising 20,000 camps nationwide over the next five years. With a minimum of 60 players in each camp, we would connect with about 1.2 million players, out of which 1 million players would be completely new to the game of table tennis.

We would provide the equipment and the expertise for these camps but would require institutions to agree to host the coaching camp at their premises. We, at Stag, have taken this project forward in full throttle and are urging institutes and centres to join hands with us to take this idea forward and help the future players realise their true potential. In order to make this project a success, we have prepared a structure with bare minimum cost to the institution and have offered attractive prices to kickstart this process and to ensure continuity of the sport at these institutions in the future.

Under the second scheme, two or three players from each camp would be selected for training at the district level. From the district level academies, players would be selected for the state academies and ultimately to national academies. The academies would be equipped with world class training equipments and supported by international coaches.

We firmly believe that in due course, we shall possess a team of players with a potential to become a World and Olympic Champion from India.

Since development of sports is our core belief, this is just the start for us. Upon the success of this project, we plan on replicating this model in different countries across various sports.
